Standardised approach and decision-making frameworks reduce delivery time and cost
Asset Management | Project Delivery
Atlas’ detailed understanding of Sydney Water’s lifecycle needs led to the Specialist Engineering team requesting support in developing a suite of standardised designs, specifications and decision-making frameworks for assets used regularly across their facilities and networks.
These included sewage pumping stations, pressure-reducing valves, odour control units and multiple variants of chemical dosing and rechlorination units as well as specifications ranging from digital engineering requirements and commissioning processes to renewal decision-making standards and frameworks.
“Their engineering work has been of high quality and as a business partner they have made significant contributions to the improvement of our engineering standards and our business processes across the project life cycle from concept to commissioning.”
As a consequence, CAPEX and OPEX costs and delivery times were reduced, and further savings were created through risk reduction, procurement and O&M optimisation through the simplification of the asset base.
